Responsibilities- Prepare and review individual, business, and fiduciary tax returns.
- Work closely with clients to provide proactive tax planning and advisory services.
- Research and analyze technical tax issues and communicate findings effectively.
- Manage tax correspondence and maintain strong client relationships.
- Mentor and train junior staff, providing guidance and technical support.
- Review work prepared by staff accountants and ensure accuracy and quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with team members on complex tax engagements and consulting projects.
- Gain exposure to a variety of tax matters, including state and local tax (SALT), sales and use tax, payroll tax, and other specialty areas.
- 3+ years of progressive public accounting tax experience.
- Strong experience preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns.
- Prior tax review experience is required.
- CPA or EA designation preferred, or actively pursuing certification.
- Experience conducting tax research and interpreting tax regulations.
- SALT (State & Local Tax) experience is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Demonstrated interest in mentoring and developing junior staff.
