MK Group CPAs & Consultants LLC is looking for an experienced and driven Tax Manager to join our growing team in Oak Brook, IL. Manage and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts

Oversee tax planning and compliance engagements from start to finish

Research complex tax issues and provide strategic guidance to clients

Supervise, mentor, and develop junior tax staff and associates

Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and advisory services

Identify tax savings opportunities and risk mitigation strategies for clients

Coordinate with IRS and state tax authorities on audits, notices, and correspondence

CPA license required

3+ years of public accounting experience with a focus in tax

Strong knowledge of federal and multi‑state tax compliance and planning

Experience managing multiple client engagements and deadlines simultaneously

Proficiency with tax preparation software MAINLY LACERTE (e.g., CCH Axcess, Pro System fx, or similar)

Excellent analytical, communication, and client‑facing skills

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field;
Master's in Taxation a plus

Auditing and taxing rental real estate and working extensively in the field of affordable housing.

Knowledge of Section 42 Low‑Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) Program and a variety of HUD programs

Knowledge and experienced in K1 K2 and K3.
