Job Description

The Inland Real Estate Group is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting Associate to support our Inland Private Capital and Corporate Finance & Accounting teams
. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys both administrative and accounting responsibilities, and is eager to contribute to the operational success of a highly collaborative team.

What You’ll Do

As an Accounting Associate, you will play a key role in supporting daily financial and administrative operations, including:

  • Performing weekly and monthly bank reconciliations
  • Maintaining and distributing loan and bank statements
  • Downloading financial data from banking platforms and assisting with cash reporting
  • Supporting year-end audit processes
    , including confirmations
  • Tracking W-9 requests, financial reporting deadlines, and entity activity
  • Assisting with cash management functions
    , including check deposits
  • Coordinating travel, expense reporting, and team calendars
  • Supporting onboarding for new finance team members
  • Preparing presentations and assisting with department SOP documentation
  • Maintaining files, records, and shared resources (e.g., contact lists, entity tracking)
  • Providing cross-functional support and assisting with special projects as needed
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED (Associate degree in Accounting or Business preferred)
  • 2+ years of administrative or accounting support experience (real estate preferred)
  • Proficiency in:
    • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
    • File-sharing platforms (SharePoint, Box, or similar)
  • Basic knowledge of accounting systems (Yardi or similar general ledger systems)
  • Strong data entry and 10-key skills
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and follow-up skills

Hourly Pay Range: $23.59-$29.38.
