Job DescriptionThe Inland Real Estate Group is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting Associate to support our Inland Private Capital and Corporate Finance & Accounting teams
. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys both administrative and accounting responsibilities, and is eager to contribute to the operational success of a highly collaborative team.
As an Accounting Associate, you will play a key role in supporting daily financial and administrative operations, including:
- Performing weekly and monthly bank reconciliations
- Maintaining and distributing loan and bank statements
- Downloading financial data from banking platforms and assisting with cash reporting
- Supporting year-end audit processes
, including confirmations - Tracking W-9 requests, financial reporting deadlines, and entity activity
- Assisting with cash management functions
, including check deposits - Coordinating travel, expense reporting, and team calendars
- Supporting onboarding for new finance team members
- Preparing presentations and assisting with department SOP documentation
- Maintaining files, records, and shared resources (e.g., contact lists, entity tracking)
- Providing cross-functional support and assisting with special projects as needed
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED (Associate degree in Accounting or Business preferred)
- 2+ years of administrative or accounting support experience (real estate preferred)
- Proficiency in:
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
- File-sharing platforms (SharePoint, Box, or similar)
- Basic knowledge of accounting systems (Yardi or similar general ledger systems)
- Strong data entry and 10-key skills
- Excellent organizational, communication, and follow-up skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Professional communication skills with all levels of the organization
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset

Hourly Pay Range: $23.59-$29.38.
