Location & Remote Availability While some roles are based at one of our office locations, remote roles can sit in any of the following states: AL, AZ, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, MI, MN, MO, NC, NE, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WV. Remote status and role locations are subject to change. Relocation is not provided. Employees within a 90‑minute radius of our Oak Brook, IL headquarters are required to adhere to the company in‑office guidelines of a minimum of four days per month, with one of those days being a Monday or Friday.

Job Summary & ResponsibilitiesThis role manages client relationships and works closely with recordkeepers, plan sponsors, third‑party administrators, and other channel partners. The relationship manager (RM) works with sales managers in assigned territories to onboard new clients, retain existing relationships, and identify growth opportunities. The RM also manages existing institutional relationships, creates strategic plans, completes special projects, and coordinates onboarding of large relationships while collaborating with Client Service, Operations, Legal, and Technology.
TheIdeal Incumbent Will
- Serve as a positive influence in Retirement Service Sales and across the firm. Possess strong communication skills and establish good rapport within client relationships to anticipate service needs.
- Offer valuable and timely resources and troubleshoot client business plans to position us as the ideal service provider.
- Work with the Senior Director and Strategic Accounts Manager to establish annual plans and meet new account and revenue goals.
- Deepen existing client relationships through email and calling efforts to for Inspira.
- Research and demonstrate knowledge of client’s business focus, plan design, and company news.
- Maintain knowledge of current and proposed legislation, sharing relevant information with key contacts.
- Develop a plan for recurring touchpoints with assigned relationships and pursue opportunities for additional business, including email, phone calls, in‑person meetings, presentations, conferences, and after‑hour events.
- Provide scheduled and ad‑hoc reporting and special projects as requested.
- Organize daily workflow to determine client needs, tracking all activities and communication in Salesforce.
- Work cross‑functionally with various individuals at all levels of the business, both internally and externally.
- Participate in meetings to identify, design, and implement strategies and project plans.
- Attend 2‑4 conferences annually.
- Conduct in‑person visits with existing accounts to strengthen relationships and find new opportunities.
- Provide internal and external communication regarding client deliverables to create a better client experience.
- Partner with the Senior Director and clients to outline and implement project plans.
- Collaborate with Client Service, Operations, Legal, and Technology to improve client experience, update documentation, and drive process improvements.
- Work with plan sponsor clients to expand business by providing insight and positioning our full line of services to increase market share.

7–10 years - Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Communications, or related field
