About the Role

The Proposal Manager – Utility Programs for DNV Energy Services North America will collaborate with a team to manage proposal deliverables and timelines, write proposal sections, coordinate with subject‑matter experts, facilitate kickoff and review meetings, develop graphics and presentations, and deliver a finished proposal product on time and in compliance with RFP and DNV requirements.

Position can be located in Columbus, OH;
Oak Brook, IL;
Oakland, CA;
Phoenix, AZ; and Medford, MA, offering a hybrid schedule with roughly three days per week on site or at a DNV office.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage the proposal process from RFP receipt to submission, including developing proposal templates, drafting schedules, and ensuring all changes are incorporated.
  • Develop proposal content from interviews and materials, assemble qualification documents, edit for style and clarity, and prepare final deliverables using Adobe Acrobat.
  • Create proposal designs and graphics in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and PowerPoint, and develop content for bid interview presentations.
  • Provide ad‑hoc marketing support to the business development team.
  • Track current and pending bids and manage all core materials in SharePoint.
  • Identify process and content improvements and train new bid team members.

Compensation

For California, Washington, New York, Washington, D.C., Illinois, and Maryland, compensation ranges from $90,000 to $115,000, adjusted for skill level, experience, and location.

About You What Is Required
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in English, Writing, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Four (4) or more years of experience developing and managing proposals.
  • Advanced skills with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint) and proficiency with MS Excel, Teams, and SharePoint; intermediate expertise with Adobe products (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑performance, collaborative environment and take ownership of solving problems.
  • Commitment to operational excellence and internal customer service.
  • Successful completion of pre‑employment background and drug screening.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills and experience with technical editing using style guides (Chicago, AP).
What Is Preferred
  • Experience with government, utility, energy efficiency and/or renewable energy projects.
  • Experience utilizing AI to accelerate proposal development.
  • Demonstrated project management experience; APMP or PMP certification preferred.
