Job DetailsKey Responsibilities
- Lead field operations for power utility construction projects, including substations, underground/overhead distribution, and electrical infrastructure
- Supervise crews, subcontractors, and field personnel to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and within budget
- Coordinate daily jobsite activities including scheduling, material delivery, equipment usage, and workforce planning
- Enforce safety protocols, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure compliance with all OSHA and company safety standards
- Review project plans, specifications, and permits to ensure accurate execution of work
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to resolve field issues and maintain project progress
- Maintain detailed daily reports, track production, and monitor productivity and quality of work
- Oversee quality control and ensure all installations meet required standards and specifications
- 5–10+ years of field experience in power utility or electrical infrastructure construction
- Proven experience as a Superintendent or Foreman managing utility or heavy civil projects
- Strong knowledge of substation construction, duct banks, trenching, directional boring, or high-voltage systems
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
- Experience managing union and/or multi-trade work forces preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
- OSHA certification and other relevant safety training preferred
