Job Details

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Structural Steel Project Manager to join our growing team. This is a permanent position offering a unique opportunity to contribute to our exciting and innovative projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, project management, contract management, budgeting, team leadership, time management, and decision-making, preferably within Steel Fabrication. With over 5 years of experience in the field, the candidate will have a proven track record of successfully overseeing all aspects of a project, from conception to completion.

Responsibilities:
  • 1. Overseeing all stages of project life cycle management, including initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure.
  • 2. Leading project planning sessions and managing project resources.
  • 3. Coordinating staff and internal resources, ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
  • 4. Assessing project risks and issues and providing solutions where applicable.
  • 5. Ensuring project deadlines are met and determining project changes.
  • 6. Providing regular project updates to stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
  • 7. Managing large and diverse teams, fostering a collaborative environment to ensure smooth execution of projects.
  • 8. Developing and managing detailed project budgets and controlling expenditures.
  • 9. Implementing and managing change when necessary to meet project outputs.
  • 10. Evaluating and assessing the results of the project.
Qualifications:
  • 1. A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
  • 2. Minimum of five years of proven experience in project management in the construction industry, preferably in Steel Fabrication.
  • 3. In-depth understanding of construction procedures and project management principles.
  • 4. Demonstrated ability in contract management, budgeting, and decision-making.
  • 5. Excellent knowledge of relevant rules, regulations, quality standards and safety codes.
  • 6. Experience with construction management software.
  • 7. Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • 8. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • 9. Strong client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • 10. Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management.
  • 11. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
