Butler Junior High School ELA Grades 6-8
Butler School District is seeking a dynamic, energetic 6-8 ELA Teacher who maintains a positive learning environment, holds high academic expectations, and creates a student-centered classroom while building rapport with students, parents and staff. We are looking for exceptional candidates who will assist our schools in creating an exemplar learning community where everyone seeks and implements strategies for improving student achievement and growth.
This person will work collaboratively in professional learning communities to achieve goals with a common purpose focused on student learning. The ELA teacher in partnership with their team and assistance in a co-teaching model with an Accelerated Learning Program/Differentiation Specialist will develop student-centered goals for all students to succeed.
Position details include:
- Work days: 180
- Salary range: $57,000+

Certification requirement:
Current PEL with middle school ELA endorsement
Additional requirements/qualifications include:
- Successful classroom teaching experience at the middle school (Grades 6-8) level
- Deep knowledge of middle-grade literature, informational text analysis, grammar instruction, and the writing process (argumentative, informative, narrative)
- Skill in using data driven assessments (formative and summative) to evaluate student growth and guide differentiated instruction
- Demonstrated success with curriculum mapping and curriculum design
- Demonstrated success using best instructional and assessment practices in a middle grades/high school classroom
