This role owns the planning, coordination, and execution that keeps software programs on schedule and on budget, while also defining the Agile operating framework the teams run on. In addition to program management, the role is responsible for hardware logistics and test bench maintenance that keep the engineering organization productive day to day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain software release plans, schedules, and milestone tracking for the team's embedded controls deliverables.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities between internal engineering groups, suppliers, and external partners to keep programs aligned and unblocked.
  • Manage defect tracking and requirements traceability in Jira and Polarion, ensuring documentation is complete, current, and audit-ready.
  • Own hardware logistics for the team, including ordering, receiving, inventory management, and allocation of controllers, sensors, and related components.
  • Maintain test benches in a working state through scheduled upkeep, configuration management, and coordination of repairs or upgrades as needed.
  • Report program status, risks, and mitigation plans to engineering leadership on a regular cadence.
  • Support continuous improvement of the team's planning and execution processes.
  • Define, own, and continuously improve project planning within the SAFe or Agile framework used across the teams, including sprint planning, PI planning, and ceremony facilitation.
  • Develop and maintain integrated software release plans, schedules, and milestone tracking across multiple parallel releases within the product line.
  • Lead gate reviews and milestone sign-offs, ensuring deliverables meet entry and exit criteria before progressing.
  • Drive resource planning and capacity forecasting across teams, identifying staffing gaps and rebalancing workload as priorities shift.
  • Track program budgets and report cost performance to engineering leadership on a regular cadence.
  • Build and maintain Jira dashboards that surface software quality metrics, release health, and KPIs for the team and leadership.
  • Communicate program status, risks, and mitigation plans to engineering leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
Experience Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in program management, technical project management, or a similar engineering coordination role supporting embedded or controls software development.
  • Demonstrated technical fluency in embedded systems concepts, sufficient to engage credibly with software, controls, and hardware engineers.
  • Hands‑on experience with Jira for defect tracking, sprint management, and dashboard creation.
  • Experience with Polarion or a comparable requirements management tool.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project or similar planning and scheduling tools.
  • Working knowledge of process improvement and lean methodologies, with examples of applying them to engineering workflows.
  • Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
  • Track record of managing schedules, budgets, and risks across multiple parallel work streams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across engineering, supply chain, and supplier stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Engineering or MBA.
  • Prior experience in the agriculture or construction equipment industry.
  • PMP, Certified Scrum Master, or other Agile project management certification.
  • Experience with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) at the team or program level.
  • Familiarity with the embedded software development lifecycle, from requirements through validation and release.
  • Hands‑on experience with lab or test bench instrumentation, including setup, calibration, and troubleshooting.
