PJM Interconnection Project Manager
Pay Rate$58–$60/hr on w2 (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors)
Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced PJM Interconnection Project Manager to support and manage electrical generation interconnection projects governed by PJM Interconnection rules and requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transmission and substation construction project management, along with expertise in financial forecasting, permitting, easements, and land acquisition processes. This role requires close coordination with internal stakeholders, engineering teams, contractors, and external agencies to ensure successful execution of large‑scale electrical transmission projects.
Key Responsibilities- Manage PJM interconnection projects from initiation through completion.
- Oversee large electrical transmission line and substation construction projects.
- Coordinate project schedules, budgets, forecasting, and reporting activities.
- Manage land acquisitions, zoning requirements, easements, and permitting processes.
- Ensure compliance with PJM interconnection standards and utility regulations.
- Collaborate with engineering, construction, and regulatory teams to drive project success.
- Monitor project risks, issues, and mitigation strategies.
- Provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders regarding project progress and financial performance.
- Support contractor coordination and field execution activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Construction‑related disciplines).
- 1–5 years of relevant project management experience.
- Experience managing electrical transmission projects involving 138kV and above transmission lines and substations.
- Strong construction project management background.
- Knowledge of PJM interconnection processes and utility infrastructure projects.
- Experience with financial forecasting and project budgeting.
- Familiarity with land acquisition, zoning, easements, and permitting activities.
