Job Role s And Responsibilities
- Act as the engineer in responsible charge for overall project design, delivery, and firm commitments.
- Maintain accountability for technical quality, financial performance, project execution, and client satisfaction.
- Lead, mentor, motivate, and develop multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Establish and manage project scope, schedules, staffing plans, and budgets.
- Coordinate engineering design, plan production, and project delivery activities.
- Oversee project quality control and quality assurance processes.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, engineering codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical oversight and guidance to engineering staff.
- Review and approve engineering solutions and design decisions.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
- Support project teams in client communication and issue resolution.
- Lead contract preparation, review, negotiation, and scope modifications.
- Manage project financial performance, profitability, and risk exposure.
- Resolve technical, contractual, and schedule-related issues.
- Coordinate project communications among clients, consultants, agencies, and internal teams.
- Mentor engineers and project staff and promote professional development.
- Ensure adherence to company safety standards and professional engineering obligations.
- Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited Engineering program or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Minimum 10 years of engineering project management experience.
- Demonstrated experience serving in responsible charge of engineering projects.
- Experience leading complex or multidisciplinary civil engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of quality control and quality assurance processes.
- Experience managing project budgets, financial reporting, and profitability.
- Strong understanding of project risk management principles.
- Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience interacting directly with clients, regulatory agencies, and public stakeholders.
- Ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.
