Sr. Licensed Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities- Develop both conceptual and detailed designs for mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, piping, and specialized systems such as compressed air, steam, and industrial gas distribution.
- Lead the design and engineering of mechanical systems within manufacturing facilities, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
- Determine appropriate equipment sizes for efficient and effective operation of mechanical systems.
- Design HVAC systems involving air handling units, chemical and laminar fume hoods, unit heaters/coolers, and other HVAC components to maintain optimal environmental conditions.
- Engineer fluid systems for water, chilled water, wastewater, cooling towers/condensers, boiler/steam or hot water, hydronic systems, compressed gases (air, O2, N2, CO2), waste/drain, and other plumbing systems.
- Ensure that all mechanical designs meet local, state, and federal regulations and codes.
- Utilize industry‑standard software including REVIT, AutoCAD MEP, and Navisworks for modeling, simulation, and design.
- Work closely with clients to understand their requirements, provide technical insights, and develop solutions that align with their goals.
- Follow and maintain quality control processes to ensure that mechanical designs meet the highest standards and client expectations.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, architects, and contractors to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly into larger projects.
- Oversee mechanical engineering aspects of projects, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
- A Professional Engineering (PE) license is mandatory.
- A minimum of 10 years of hands‑on experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on designing mechanical systems for manufacturing facilities.
- Demonstrated experience delivering facilities design packages for complex multi‑discipline architecture & engineering design projects, preferably for Food, Beverage, CPG, or Life Science sector manufacturing clients.
- Ability to complete mechanical system analysis and sizing.
