The primary responsibility of the Financial Analyst position within the Acquisition and Investment Analytics department is to provide financial modeling, credit analysis, data analysis and research support for the department team members. These efforts will be driven by the acquisition and syndication activities of the company in the investment real estate market. The goal of this position is to complete accurate, comprehensive and timely analysis in support of the primary functions of the department and effectively communicate such to various stakeholders.
CORERESPONSIBILITIES
- Demonstrates highest standards of personal and professional integrity, adheres to company’s policies and procedures, and complies with applicable laws, government rules and regulations.
- Performs financial reporting and modeling through Excel.
- Performs financial statement and credit analysis and reporting.
- Refines financial models for various investment assumptions and conform to standardized structures.
- Reads, abstracts, and analyzes real estate-related documentation (i.e., rent rolls, operating statements, leases, term sheets, loan documents, contracts, etc.) as necessary to accurately summarize and report to stakeholders.
- Performs additional data analysis and research of real estate markets, asset classes, portfolio performance and tenants as necessary to accurately complete financial models.
- Assists in other day-to-day follow up and record-keeping as part of the due diligence and closing processes.
- Updates financial modeling in conjunction with review and input by members of the department.
- Prepare clear concise summary documentation and spreadsheets that support and explain the basis of the analyses for use in presentations, proposals and/or reports.
- Completes special projects and Adhoc reports.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education
- This position requires a Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Real Estate Finance or related discipline from a four-year college or university or equivalent professional knowledge and/or work experience.
Experience
- This position requires 0 to 2 years prior work experience; prior professional experience in financial modeling is a plus.
Certifications/Licenses
- No certifications/licenses are required for this position.
Skills
- Keyboarding skills are required for this position.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Outlook are required for this position.
- Advance skills in Excel are preferred for this position.
- Experience with other real estate or modeling software and research platforms a plus.
Annual Base Salary Range: $
66,000-$82,000
. This position is eligible to participate in the company’s annual discretionary bonus program.
