Accounting Manager
As a Manager in our Mid Market Outsourced Accounting & Advisory Services practice, you will provide exceptional, best‑in‑class financial and accounting expertise to a portfolio of clients, working in a cloud‑based environment and leveraging your deep knowledge of finance and accounting operations such as Procure‑to‑Pay, Order‑to‑Cash, and Record‑to‑Report. You will act as a strategic business advisor, delivering valuable insights, driving process improvements, and leading and mentoring a team of professionals to ensure high‑quality service delivery and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Provide outsourced accounting and advisory services to clients, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Perform and manage the end‑to‑end accounting operations, ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of financial reports (monthly, quarterly, and annually) and compliance with appropriate accounting frameworks.
- Support the client engagement team, ensuring quality, completeness, and streamlined workflows.
- Act as the primary point of contact and business advisor for client leadership (CFOs, Controllers), providing insights based on industry trends and business acumen.
- Maintain a robust system of internal controls to mitigate risk and enhance the accuracy and relevance of financial results.
- Drive process improvement initiatives, utilizing technology and automation to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Coach, train, and mentor staff, promoting teamwork, professional development, and strong client service.
- Six or more years of progressively responsible experience in professional accounting functions is required.
- Experience in public accounting, professional services, or a Business Process Outsourcing environment is a plus.
- Experience in a client‑facing role is strongly preferred.
- Experience with Franchise Accounting is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a similar field is required.
- CPA or MBA is preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, Net Suite or Sage Intacct is a plus).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to manage teams and mentor staff.
- Experience with Microsoft Suite, financial automation, and digital transformation tools is a plus.
