GENERAL FUNCTION:
Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to provide quality customer service to borrowers while performing administrative functions and team management related to the servicing of a diverse loan portfolio. Knowledge and experience in servicing commercial real estate, construction, C&I, leasing, and consumer lending will be imperative.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.) Advance funds for closings and draws.
2.) Process loan payments and reversals/corrections, including requests for online dollar payments and transfers.
3.) Process loan payoffs and paid files according to the established checklist, including the preparation and evaluation of collateral releases.
4.) Prepare payoff letters.
5.) Process and prepare participant and/or investor remittances as needed.
6.) Research and prepare duplicate release requests.
7.) Track and process unit/lot paydown letters, paydowns, and releases in connection with construction loans.
8.) Assist internal and external customers with inquiries.
9.) Access, review, and process reports, checklists, and procedures assigned in connection with the above responsibilities.
10.) Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.) Monitor and manage the team’s performance as it pertains to adherence to established policies, procedures, and deadlines.
2.) Recommend new or updated policies and procedures to management.
3.) Provide guidance and training to team members.
4.) Communicate the needs of the team to management.
5.) Conduct periodic team meetings, as needed.
6.) Perform required review and/or approval of any department work as required
7.) Provide support to team members and all bank coworkers involved in more complex servicing processes and issues, including, but not limited to, performing calculations, providing analysis, and proposing resolutions.
8.) Assist in identifying, developing, and promoting efficient processes and procedures.
EXPECTATIONS:
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Provide support for other members of the department as needed including special projects as assigned.
MINIMUM
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
High School diploma or its equivalent.
5 years loan servicing experience, including both consumer/residential and commercial loans
Familiar with a variety of lending and general banking concepts, practices, procedures and regulations.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft suite of products (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).Strong verbal and written communication skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work and think independently.
Experience with FIS IBS Insight core system is preferred
