Position: Senior Development Manager – Multifamily (Market Rate)

Description

We are seeking a sophisticated Senior Development Manager to lead our market-rate multifamily expansion. This role is designed for a strategic professional with a proven track record of sourcing, evaluating, and securing high-value land and redevelopment opportunities. The successful candidate will not only manage a pipeline but will be directly responsible for its growth through proactive originations and the cultivation of institutional capital relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Opportunity Origination: Proactively identify and secure off-market and listed land opportunities that align with the firm's strategic growth objectives.
  • Capital Partnering: Cultivate and manage relationships with institutional investors and family offices, assisting in the structuring of joint ventures and equity placements.
  • Market Intelligence: Conduct comprehensive feasibility studies and sophisticated financial modeling to ensure projects exceed internal IRR and equity multiple benchmarks.
  • Project Leadership: Direct the full development lifecycle—from site control and entitlements through design, construction, and successful lease-up.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison between the firm and municipal officials, brokers, and investment partners to ensure seamless project delivery.
Qualifications
  • Development Track Record: A documented history of successfully sourcing, financing, and delivering high-density, market-rate multifamily projects.
  • Financial Acumen: Advanced understanding of complex capital stacks, including experience interfacing with institutional-grade equity partners and family offices.
  • Strategic Network: An established professional network within target markets that facilitates early access to new development opportunities.
  • Execution Excellence: Proven ability to navigate the complexities of urban zoning, entitlements, and public-private negotiations to move a project from concept to stabilized asset.
