The Regional Clinical Director provides clinical leadership and oversight across multiple clinics within an assigned region, ensuring high-quality, consistent, evidence-based, and financially responsible psychiatric care. This role partners closely with Operations, Psychiatry leadership, and clinic teams to support clinical excellence, operational efficiency, census growth, and appropriate utilization of advanced treatment modalities.
While primarily focused on clinical leadership and regional support, the Regional Clinical Director may provide direct patient care as needed to support clinic coverage, provider absences, onboarding, census stabilization, or high-acuity cases.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Leadership & Oversight
Serve as a regional clinical leader supporting multiple clinics and providers.
Promote consistent, evidence-based psychiatric care aligned with company clinical standards.
Provide clinical consultation, mentorship, and guidance to PMHNPs, PAs, and interdisciplinary staff.
Support onboarding and ongoing clinical development of new providers and advanced practice clinicians.
Identify clinical risks, quality gaps, and opportunities for improvement and collaborate on corrective actions.
Promote efficient clinical workflows, patient safety, quality outcomes, and timely completion of clinical documentation.
Ensure personal clinical documentation is completed and signed within 48 hours when providing patient care.
Operational & Financial Alignment
Partner with Operations leadership to align clinical care delivery with operational goals and financial performance.
Support clinic productivity, scheduling efficiency, provider utilization, and sustainable regional growth.
Monitor key performance indicators, including census, visit volume, provider productivity, internal referrals, retention, and follow-up adherence.
Support responsible resource utilization while maintaining high-quality patient outcomes.
Participate in regional planning and initiatives that promote growth and scalability.
Census Growth & Advanced Treatment Modalities
Collaborate with providers and clinic managers to identify patients who may be clinically appropriate for advanced treatment modalities, including Spravato (esketamine), IV Ketamine (if applicable), and TMS.
Ensure providers maintain a strong understanding of services offered to support appropriate internal referrals.
Support clinically appropriate conversion, retention, patient education, expectation-setting, and treatment adherence strategies.
Provide clinical oversight for Spravato assessments and treatments, IV Ketamine assessments and treatments (if applicable), and TMS evaluations, follow-ups, and motor threshold mapping.
Ensure consistent protocols, patient safety standards, and documentation across clinics.
Serve as a clinical escalation resource for complex cases and treatment considerations.
Direct Patient Care
Provide psychiatric evaluations, follow-ups, and medication management as a backup or support function.
Provide Spravato, Ketamine, or TMS-related services as appropriate.
Support coverage needs related to provider absences, onboarding, census surges, or high-acuity cases.
Maintain clinical skills and licensure to ensure readiness to provide patient care when needed.
Collaboration, Compliance & Quality
Work closely with Psychiatrists, Therapists, Social Workers, Clinical Assistants, and Operations teams.
