Description

We are looking for a Part‑Time Banquet House Person to join our Banquets team at Le Méridien Chicago - Oakbrook Center.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate with supervisor throughout shift to be aware of the work.
  • Set up all meeting rooms to the specifications of the guest, including transportation of staging, tables, chairs, dance floors, etc., from storage to meeting rooms.
  • Supply and replenish meeting rooms with clean glasses and fresh water.
  • Break down all meeting rooms after meetings and return items to storage closet for the next function.
  • Maintain the established cleaning schedule of meeting rooms and ballrooms so the rooms remain presentable at all times.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Perform any other job‑related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

You have a self‑starting personality and an even disposition. You can communicate well with guests and are willing to “pitch‑in” and help co‑workers. You can withstand prolonged periods of standing and/or walking and can lift at least 50 lbs. You are looking for a flexible job that allows you to work a variety of different shifts and weekends.
