Hyatt Lodge Oak Brook is a luxury resort in Oak Brook, Illinois offering an elegant environment for guests and staff.

The Event Sales Manager is responsible for selling and servicing events for in‑house groups and external clients. Primary duties include selling banquet food and beverage, menu planning, agenda setting, meeting services, reviewing contracts, and communicating with hotel staff before, during, and after events. The role contributes to site inspections, maintains strong customer relationships, and collaborates with the sales and catering team.

• Bachelor’s degree and/or 2+ years of hotel sales experience.
• 1 year of food and beverage experience.
• Strong understanding of negotiation and contract interpretation.
• Developed business communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Confident and professional appearance.
• Proactive sales approach, assertive, fast paced, and driven to succeed.
• Execute and support Hotel Customer Service Standards and Brand Standards.
• Understanding of market segment, competitor strengths, economic trends, supply and demand.
• Work well under pressure.
• Time‑management skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Effective communication with the public and colleagues.
• Creativity in designing events.
• Working knowledge of banquet department operations (sets, AV equipment, scheduling, menu planning).
• Ability to design menus with the culinary department to maximize operating profit.
• Experience with major Hospitality Sales CRM systems such as Delphi, Daylight, Marriott CI/TY, or Starwood ISAC preferred.
