Solina Group Services is hiring a Network Engineer to support the ongoing expansion of Solina’s network infrastructure. In collaboration with multiple partners, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the company’s network to ensure its reliability and security. This position is based in Oak Brook, Illinois and requires collaboration with both local and international stakeholders.
Job Duties- Provide advanced Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support to diagnose and resolve complex network issues
- Design, implement, monitor, and support network environments using Fortinet and Ruckus technologies
- Configure, manage, and maintain firewalls, switches, routers, VPNs, wireless access points, and related network equipment
- Develop and maintain accurate technical documentation, including network diagrams, change control records, and risk assessments
- Identify opportunities for improvement within the network landscape and support the design, documentation, costing, and implementation of new solutions
- Collaborate with IT Project teams to deliver network components of broader IT services and applications
- Ensure compliance with internal standards, best practices, and security requirements
- Coordinate and support network‑related projects, including work with external vendors and partners
- Partner closely with Group IT teams to deliver reliable and high‑quality network services
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in network engineering or network administration
- Strong expertise in LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, switching, routing, firewall configuration, and network security
- Extensive experience with Fortinet technologies, including Forti Gate, Forti Switch, Forti Analyzer, and Forti Manager
- Solid knowledge of Ruckus Wireless solutions
- Experience with authentication systems such as RADIUS and NPS
- Experience with PRTG and Service Now is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; fluent in English
- Proactive, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently
- Decisive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment
- Willingness to travel approximately 15% of the time within the U.S. and internationally
- Commitment to company policies related to environmental, health, and workplace safety standards
