IT Support Specialist

In this role, you’ll provide hands‑on technical support that keeps campus systems running and students, faculty, and staff connected.

This role exists to deliver reliable IT support by troubleshooting issues, maintaining systems, and ensuring a seamless user experience.

• Provide technical support across PC, Mac, software, networking, and AV environments
• Own and resolve support requests end‑to‑end, ensuring timely and complete resolution
• Deliver professional, timely communication across all channels
• Meet performance metrics and follow standardized processes
• Support user accounts in Active Directory and Microsoft 365
• Troubleshoot networking and telecom issues with support from network teams
• Manage IT assets, including inventory, deployment, and decommissioning
• Set up and support AV for meetings and events
• Contribute to documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base updates
• Provide escalated and after‑hours support as needed
• Partner with cross‑functional IT teams to support broader needs
• Adhere to information security policies and protect company data

• Minimum 2 years’ experience supporting Windows and Mac operating systems in a corporate environment
• Knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems and office applications
• Experience with Active Directory and Office 365 administration
• Ability to provide after‑hours support
• Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment

• Experience supporting Office 365 and Windows server platforms
• Additional experience with Active Directory

• Two‑year degree or higher preferred, or equivalent work experience
• Microsoft, CompTIA A+, or other technical certifications desired

This position is fully in office at our Oak Brook, IL location, with employees expected to work onsite full time to support in‑person collaboration, student engagement, and day‑to‑day operations.
