Senior Probate & Trust Litigation Attorney — Department Head
We are seeking a senior probate and trust litigation attorney licensed to practice in Illinois to build and lead our Probate Department.
We are looking for someone who has handled hundreds of probate cases, thrives in structured environments, and knows how to lead teams while moving cases decisively forward.
This is not an entry-level position.

You’ll oversee complex probate and trust litigation matters while leading and mentoring attorneys and support staff. This role requires advanced legal judgment, strong motion practice and trial experience, and the ability to manage high‑stakes matters with precision.

- 300+ probate cases handled from start to finish
- Extensive experience with motion practice, hearings, and trials
- Strong probate administration and contested matters background
- Proven leadership, project management, and mentoring ability
- Excellent legal writing, research, and courtroom skills
- Lead and mentor the Probate team
- Oversee full‑cycle probate and trust litigation cases
- Develop and supervise litigation strategy
- Ensure consistent, high‑quality client experience
- Collaborate with firm leadership on department growth and improvements
