Director, EH&S

The Director of EH&S is a senior leader responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing environmental, health, and safety programs across the organization. This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards, promotes a culture of safety, and drives sustainability initiatives. The director collaborates with cross-functional teams to mitigate risks and enhance workplace safety and environmental stewardship.

• Design and execute comprehensive EH&S strategies and policies
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT and other regulatory bodies
• Conduct risk assessments and lead incident investigations
• Drive effective risk assessments and in-depth incident investigations for root cause, taking lead on significant cases as needed
• Develop and deliver training programs on safety and environmental practices
• Monitor and report EH&S performance metrics and KPIs
• Lead emergency preparedness and response planning
• Manage hazardous materials, waste disposal, and pollution prevention programs
• Liaise with government agencies and external stakeholders
• Promote continuous improvement and employee engagement in EH&S initiatives

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or related field
• Experience in hazardous waste site remediation, working with environmental consultants
• 10+ years of EH&S experience, with 5+ years in a leadership role
• In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local EH&S regulations
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
• Experience with ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, or similar standards
• Proficiency in EH&S management systems and reporting tools

• Certified Safety Professional
• Certified Hazardous Materials Manager

Mauser Packaging Solutions offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, paid time off, and other competitive benefits.

The pay range is $185,000-$205,000. Exact salary offered will depend on candidate’s experience, work location, skills, etc.
