Position SummaryWe are seeking a Part-Time Marketing Specialist with prior experience working within a physician practice, medical group, or healthcare organization. This position will support leadership in coordinating the organization's marketing, communications, digital presence, and community outreach initiatives.
This is a hands-on role for someone who understands healthcare marketing and can keep projects moving with minimal supervision. The Marketing Specialist will work with leadership to carry out marketing priorities, coordinate vendors and materials, maintain digital content, and support consistent messaging across the organization.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMarketing & Communications
- Work with organizational leadership to coordinate and execute marketing and communication initiatives.
- Develop and update brochures, flyers, presentations, newsletters, service-line materials, and other marketing collateral.
- Draft and coordinate internal and external communications as directed by leadership.
- Maintain consistent branding and messaging across locations, service lines, and communication channels.
- Coordinate projects with outside marketing vendors, printers, designers, photographers, and other partners.
- Assist leadership with special marketing and communication projects as needed.
- Maintain and coordinate updates to the organization's website, including provider profiles, locations, services, and other practice information.
- Develop and schedule social media content consistent with organizational priorities.
- Maintain a social media and content calendar.
- Monitor physician, location, and practice information across online directories and platforms and coordinate necessary corrections.
- Support online reputation and patient review initiatives.
- Monitor website, social media, and digital marketing activity and provide periodic reporting to leadership.
- Coordinate digital advertising or other campaigns with outside vendors when applicable.
- Coordinate provider announcements, biographies, photography, website updates, and related marketing materials.
- Develop and maintain materials describing the organization's specialties, services, locations, and patient access information.
- Assist with marketing initiatives for physician practices, ancillary services, and other organizational service lines.
- Support community outreach, educational programs, health fairs, and organizational events as directed by leadership.
Required
- 2+ years of marketing, communications, or related experience.
- Prior experience working within a physician practice, medical group, hospital, health system, or other healthcare organization.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Experience developing professional marketing and communication materials.
- Experience with social media and digital communications.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently while taking direction and priorities from leadership.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Experience working with a multi-location or multi-specialty physician practice.
- Experience supporting healthcare executives or practice leadership.
- Experience with website content management systems.
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design platforms.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics or other digital marketing analytics tools.
- Experience with email marketing platforms.
- Familiarity with healthcare marketing, HIPAA, and compliance considerations.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Comfortable working closely with senior leadership and department leaders.
- Able to take direction and translate leadership priorities into completed marketing projects.
- A strong writer capable of translating healthcare information into clear, professional messaging.
- Creative while also being highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-location physician practice environment.
- Able to prioritize competing requests and meet deadlines.
- Able to research options, gather information, and make practical recommendations to leadership.
- Uses good judgment and maintains confidentiality in a healthcare setting.
This is a part-time position of approximately 20-25 hours per week. The schedule may be flexible based on organizational needs. Occasional travel to practice locations or attendance at organizational and community events may be required.
