Position HighlightsAs a Global Action Team Regional Specialist, you’ll play a vital role on the Membership team at Lions International.
What You’ll Do- The Global Action Team (GAT) Regional Specialist is responsible for driving the understanding and adoption of strategic programmatic initiatives and resources that support the objectives and focus areas of our Association.
- Deliver and adapt our membership, leadership, and service tools, resources, and grants in support of our global service volunteers.
- Work directly with leaders in the field to develop and support regional strategies and programs that drive regional membership development goals, increase service impact, and leadership development opportunities in their geographic areas of focus.
- Monitor and understand regional data, including key performance indicators, and advise regional leaders based on data and trends.
- Promote and monitor the uptake of local initiatives that align with focus areas (Membership Development, Leadership Development, or Service Activities) and the usage of tools and resources.
- Gather data from field leaders and recommend regional adaptations of tools, resources, and local projects and initiatives to LCI development teams.
- Assist with the coordination of area forum GAT events, conventions, and annual meetings with leaders.
- Coordinate and/or conduct GAT regional training (virtually and in-person), including the development of agendas, reports, and presentations in support of trainings and meetings.
- With management’s approval, attend area conventions, meetings, forums, etc. to inform, train, and strategize with regional volunteer leaders.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Communications teams to develop regional GAT communications, including drafting and revising messages.
- Ensure appropriate utilization of leader budgets and support the submission and tracking of required documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 1–3 years of related experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to navigate international business situations diplomatically.
- Self-motivated and able to be successful with little oversight.
- Ability to develop strong relationships with diverse groups of stakeholders.
- Bilingual a plus.
- Some travel – domestic and international is required up to 20% possible.
Compensation:
Exempt, $63,000–$68,000
