Ready to join? We are looking for an Orthopedic Surgery APP (NP or PA) to support a total joint surgeon who specializes in hip and knee reconstruction and replacement. The role is part‑time, three days per week (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday). The candidate must be flexible to travel to surrounding clinics located in Chicago, Oak Brook, & Westchester, IL for clinic and OR.

New graduates or experienced PAs are welcome to apply.

• Close collaboration with existing team.
• Assist the physician in clinic and operating room settings.
• Assess patient health status including state of wellness and compliance with care plan and determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Utilize practice technology including, but not limited to, electronic health records, dictation, and outcomes tools to their full capability to ensure excellent patient care.
• Provide medical care as delegated by physician.
• Educate patients and families as appropriate and provide continuity of care.
• Examine patient, perform comprehensive physical examination, and compile patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination.
• Administer or order diagnostic tests, such as X‑rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory tests, and interpret test results for deviations from normal.
• Perform therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing, and wound care, and manage infection.
• Develop and implement patient management plans, record progress notes, and assist in provision of continuity of care.
• Travel with Physician as required.
• Instruct and counsel patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens, normal growth and development, family planning, emotional problems of daily living, and health maintenance.

• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program.
• Currently licensed as an advanced practice nurse by AANC, AANP, or ONCB; or Certified as a Physician's Assistant by NCCPA.
• Licensed as appropriate in the state of Illinois.
• BLS and Healthcare Provider certifications required.

Pay Range: $48.08 - $57.69 per hour.
