Job Mission

Retail Sale Associates ensure our retail stores operate smoothly and provide exemplary customer service. They educate customers with expert product knowledge and use proper selling techniques throughout the transaction to positively represent the New Balance brand.

• Greet customers and establish contact.
• Understand the customer's needs.
• Educate customers on product features and benefits.
• Solve any customer questions or problems.
• Transact sales using suggestive selling, multiple selling, and effective closing techniques.
• Measure and fit customers with appropriate New Balance products.
• Inform customers about current promotions.
• Maintain a neat, organized, and well-stocked floor.
• Ensure items are properly labeled and price-marked.
• Secure products by attaching/detaching security tags and monitoring floor merchandise.
• Report shrinkage and security violations.
• Follow safety regulations, including proper lifting procedures.
• Report accidents and near-misses promptly.

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Strong people skills and a customer‑first attitude.
• Past retail experience preferred but not required.
• Strong verbal communication and customer‑service skills.
• Team‑player with ability to flourish in a collaborative environment.
• Familiarity with cash register functions.
• Ability to perform basic math quickly.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Physical capabilities: lift 4lb. frequently; lift up to 8lb. occasionally; kneel or squat frequently; move up to 50lb. of product (with assistance if needed); stand for extended periods; climb ladders or stairs as required.

Hourly pay range: $15.00 – $20.15, depending on experience, location, and other factors.
