Branch Counter Sales​/Customer Service; Grand Ave. Chicago - Electric Motor Sales

Overview

Dreisilker Electric Motors is seeking a dynamic Counter Sales/Customer Service Associate to join our team at Grand Ave., Chicago. You will interact with customers, providing expert advice on electric motors and related products, drive sales, and build lasting customer relationships through excellent communication and service.

• Stock shelves, counters or displays with merchandise.
• Set up advertising displays; arrange merchandise to promote sales.
• Stamp, mark or tag prices on merchandise.
• Obtain merchandise requested by customers or special order merchandise chosen by customers.
• Answer customers’ questions about location, price and use of merchandise; perform minor motor repairs as needed.
• Accommodate multiple customers, accept payment, make change, and answer questions for customers on the phone.
• Clean location, shelves, counters and tables.
• Record end-of-day cash in the register.
• Calculate sales discounts to determine prices; perform multiple discounts as needed.
• Cycle count and document inventory daily.
• Assist  customers as needed.
• Troubleshoot and replace motors to 100% accuracy and validate repairs to service tests.
• Retain and recall customers, vendors, parts, prices and locations.
• Cross-reference calculations with manuals and computers for complex pricing.
• Assess routing and shipping of parts daily.
• Document, count, cycle, research and maintain shipments, inventory and special orders.
• Accurately stock shelves and manage parts intake.
• Receive parts and maintain inventory records; manage return inventory.
• Answer walk-in questions, troubleshoot and resolve issues accurately.
• Maintain sales records, inventory and stock orders.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• May lift up to 50 pounds with proper equipment and technique.
• Half-day Saturdays on a team rotation basis; on-call for emergency openings on a rotation basis.
• Occasional coverage at other branches as needed.
• Per management, complete various duties and assignments.

$18 - $24 per hour
