Role Description The Part Time Sales Leader at J.Jill is an on-site role based in Oak Brook, IL. This role is responsible for driving store sales by engaging customers, providing personalized styling assistance, and delivering an elevated service experience. Daily activities include greeting and assisting customers, recommending product solutions, maintaining visual standards, and ensuring merchandise is well-presented and stocked. The Sales Leader supports the store management team by helping to open and close the store, processing transactions, handling customer inquiries, and contributing to the achievement of sales goals.
This part time role also involves coaching team members on service expectations, modeling J.Jill’s brand values, and fostering a positive, inclusive store culture.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated retail sales experience with a focus on customer service, client engagement, and relationship building.
- Skills in product knowledge, styling, and visual merchandising to support an elevated in-store experience.
- Ability to lead by example on the sales floor, support team members, and collaborate effectively with store leadership.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle customer concerns professionally.
- Comfort with point-of-sale systems, basic computer skills, and cash handling procedures.
- Availability to work a flexible part time schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, move merchandise, and perform essential physical tasks of a retail environment.
- Prior specialty retail or fashion experience is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent is beneficial.
