Our client, a global leader and manufacturer of industrial atmospheric gases and related technology has an immediate need for a Junior Sales Representative based out of their office in the Southwest suburbs.
This position will assist the regional sales team to manage accounts in the Midwest and work closely with the Sales Director to increase revenues and profits, identify new business opportunities and maintain and grow existing business.
This individual will be accountable for obtaining, maintaining and expanding profitable contracts with a wide range of account sizes often consisting of multiple products. Ability to travel to customer sites and visit plant facilities is required, approximately 30%.
Primary Responsibilities- Deliver profitable sales growth and operating profit consistent with overall objectives with a focus on forecasting, prospecting, price management and new business development.
- Develop accounts through cold calling, marketing, CRM systems, and reach outs.
- Establish and maintain relationships with multiple key decision makers at current and potential customers, to strengthen and broaden those relationships.
- Understanding products and application technology, will assist with pricing recommendations and expand opportunities at existing customers bringing solutions and value to customers.
- Develop an account plan for each account, incorporating a fully developed customer needs analysis, including long and short-term goals and tactics, pricing strategy and a renegotiation plan.
- Use account management tools to ensure ongoing accuracy of customer information.
- Act as the focal point to address and resolve any issues, questions, problems, or opportunities that may arise during the sales/customer relationship.
- Will develop a thorough understanding of supply agreements regarding terms & conditions, liability issues and compensation on commercial issues.
- Maintain good coordination and communication with other sales groups and functional groups, such as marketing, customer service, production, engineering, logistics, law and others, to ensure that the account strategies are aligned with the available resources and market objectives.
- BS/BA, prefer Science or Engineering degree.
- Prior experience cold calling/marketing/business development to potential customers.
- Inside/Outside Sales or Marketing experience preferred.
- Experience in an Industrial or Manufacturing environment.
- Excellent time management and strong written/oral communication skills.
