What you will doYou will promote and sell Johnson Controls Security services and technology within an assigned territory, building strong relationships and delivering solutions that protect people and property. You’ll be the Johnson Controls Security brand ambassador—sharing our story and demonstrating why we’re the leading electronic security provider. You’ll focus on securing new business, upgrading existing accounts, and ensuring customer satisfaction through exceptional service.
Howyou will do it
- Adhere to Johnson Controls Security policies, procedures, products, programs, and services.
- Create new market share by selling Johnson Controls Security products and services to new local commercial customers.
- Sell additional products and services to existing accounts, identifying new opportunities.
- Renew existing customer agreements and manage resale opportunities within your territory.
- Identify prospects using creative lead‑generation techniques and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
- Establish call plans and follow‑up strategies independently, applying effective time and territory management.
- Maintain in‑depth knowledge of our products/services and customer needs through training and research.
- Obtain referrals and build relationships with Centers of Influence.
- Process work orders and complete all paperwork accurately and on time.
- Conduct post‑installation follow‑up to ensure commitments were met and affirm customer satisfaction.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills with the ability to engage senior‑level executives.
- Ability to work a full‑time schedule and be available for local travel.
- Preferred:
College degree. - Minimum 2 years’ experience as a successful commercial sales representative in security, IT, or technology sales, with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding quotas.
Salary Range: $55,000–$69,000, with a competitive sales incentive plan based on volume, margin, quarterly, and annual performance. This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
