Manager, Physical Security Solutions

Job Summary

Manage physical security solutions for Comcast, overseeing staff, security systems, policies, and projects to protect company assets and people.

• Supervise and provide guidance to physical security personnel, including specialists, technicians, and analysts.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of physical security devices and systems such as Video Management Systems (VMS), Physical Access Control Systems (PACS), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), and intercom systems.
• Implement and enforce security policies, procedures, and programs for deployment, maintenance, and support of physical security hardware and infrastructure.
• Oversee contracts with integrators and coordinate security technology installations across facilities, collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
• Participate in expense management, including contract assessment, service evaluation, and budget forecasting.
• Review documentation and installation plans with stakeholders to ensure compliance with security standards.
• Design physical security hardware and infrastructure to support emergency response and critical incident management.
• Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and industry trends in physical security.
• Assist in the development and implementation of security strategies, policies, and programs.
• Foster relationships with stakeholders to promote effective communication and collaboration.
• Coordinate with IT teams to ensure adherence to applicable IT policies and access control for security infrastructure.
• Participate in commissioning and testing of physical security technologies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.

• Proven experience in physical security management, including infrastructure and technology systems.
• Strong knowledge of building as‑built drawings, infrastructure, and equipment related to communication and infrastructure systems.
• Supervisory or managerial experience in a security or related field.
• Familiarity with security technologies such as access control, surveillance, and intrusion detection systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency in security management software, Microsoft Office Suite, Genetec suite of products, and related tools.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Security Management, Homeland Security, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• Four or more years of related experience.

• Professional certification or accreditation in physical security such as CPP, PSP, CSMP, CISSP, PSCP, or CHPP.

Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedules, overtime, and travel up to 30%.
