Sr. AI Engineer

We are seeking a technically skilled Senior
AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions across our organization. Your work will include building AI chat assistants, integrating AI with databases and business systems, and automating processes to drive efficiency and innovation.

• Translate product requirements and user stories into robust AI/ML solutions
• In collaboration with external partners, design, develop, and deploy AI-powered chat assistants and automation tools for internal teams
• Integrate AI solutions with existing databases, APIs, and business applications
• Build, train, evaluate, and maintain machine learning models, with a focus on production readiness and scalability
• Architect and deploy agentic systems: multi-agent orchestration, planning loops (ReAct, Plan-and-Execute), memory management, and human-in-the-loop approval flows using frameworks such as Lang Chain, Auto Gen, or Lang Graph
• Collaborate with IT and data teams to ensure data quality, security, and compliance
• Provide support for WPChat and promote its use across the enterprise
• Document technical designs, code, and deployment processes
• Stay current with advancements in AI/ML technologies and recommend best-fit solutions
• Provide technical support for deployed AI systems and assist with troubleshooting as needed
• Work closely with the Product Manager, who will define and prioritize AI projects and features
• Collaborate with IT, data, and business teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of AI solutions, providing both new development and also production support
• Partner with external vendors and implementation partners on joint delivery

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience
• 6 - 8 years of hands‑on experience developing and deploying AI solutions in a production environment, with at least 4 years specifically focused on LLM-based GenAI applications
• Proven experience developing complex LLM agents using AI frameworks such as Lang Chain, Auto Gen, or similar orchestration layers
• Senior developer level expertise in new development and with modifying existing in‑place AI agents, tools and other custom development.
• Proficiency in Python and with some relevant Generative AI and NLP development tools, including tools for RAG and NLP (i.e. Haystack, Llama Index, CrewAI, Microsoft Auto Gen, Flowise, PyTorch, scikit‑learn, etc.)
• Experience with natural language processing (NLP) and building chatbots or conversational AI systems including multi‑channel integrations including voice/telephony, SMS, email, live web chatbots, etc.
• Demonstrated proficiency in developing AI tools working in environments with common AI Gateway tools (e.g. Portkey or Kong) and MCP Servers for accessing common MCP server enabled software platforms (e.g. Oracle, Workday, Salesforce, Service
  
  NOW, Jira, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of database systems and data integration
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for deploying AI solutions, and AI cloud platform specific development tools such as Gemini Vertex.ai and AWS Bedrock Agent Core.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
• Experience working in agile, cross‑functional teams

• Hands on experience with Libre Chat
• Experience with MLOps practices and tools for model deployment and monitoring
• Knowledge of data privacy and security best practices
• Experience as a developer in some non‑AI areas such as web, eCommerce, or other application development areas
• Work in a similar role for a medium to large enterprise business in the wholesale distribution, manufacturing, CPG or eCommerce industries
