Van Carrier Sales Specialist

Overview

Heniff Transportation provides best‑in‑class supply chain solutions and is committed to passion, customer focus, safety, innovation, and service performance. The Carrier Sales Specialist is responsible for booking carriers on logistics shipments and ensuring loads reach delivery status.

• Build relationships with carriers.
• Negotiate rates with carriers.
• Track and trace all shipments from booking through delivery.
• Confirm all accessorial charges within 48 hours of delivery.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience using Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Customer service experience.

• Demonstrated organizational and analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to act as a team player and engage in all aspects of the business function.
• Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.

• Regularly required to talk or hear.
• Required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with arms, stoop, kneel or crouch as needed.
• Specific vision requirements: close‑range vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to operate in a constant state of alertness and safety.

The position typically operates in a standard office environment and routinely uses office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, file cabinets, and fax machines.

Salary range: $45,000 to $50,000 yearly + commission. The final offer will be determined by various factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, skills, qualifications, and geographic location.
