We are currently seeking a dedicated Bilingual First Grade Teacher to join a collaborative elementary school team in Wisconsin for the 2026–2027 school year.
Position OverviewThe Bilingual First Grade Teacher will provide high-quality instruction in a dual-language classroom environment, supporting students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both Spanish and English, skilled in delivering engaging standards-based instruction, and committed to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Instruction will be delivered through an 80% Spanish and 20% English model, promoting bilingualism, biliteracy, and academic achievement while supporting the diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds of students. The teacher will foster an engaging and inclusive learning environment that encourages language development and student success across all academic areas.
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction aligned with Wisconsin academic standards.
- Provide instruction in both Spanish and English within a dual-language learning environment.
- Support students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral growth.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of all students.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and culturally responsive classroom environment.
- Assess student progress and maintain accurate academic records.
- Collaborate with grade-level teachers, support staff, administrators, and families to promote student success.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives.
- Maintain effective communication with families in both English and Spanish as needed.
- Valid Wisconsin Elementary Education Teaching License.
- Wisconsin Bilingual Education License or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Advanced proficiency in spoken and written Spanish.
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, families, and support staff.
- Previous experience teaching in a bilingual or dual-language classroom setting.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students.
