Overview
We are seeking an Electronics Calibration Technician! In this role, you will perform routine and complex work related to the calibration of mechanical, electro‑mechanical, and electronic test and measurement equipment used in the manufacture of avionics instruments and displays. All work is to be done in accordance with controlled procedures using standard and specialized tools, diagnostic tests, and measurement equipment.
This on‑site position is located at our Headquarters in Oak Creek, WI. You will report directly to the Quality Engineering & Calibration Manager.
Responsibilities- Calibrate instruments that measure pressure, temperature, time, force, torque, flow, electric current, voltage, resistance, physical, and mechanical characteristics for avionics equipment.
- Calibrate manufacturing/engineering test equipment to specific performance specifications.
- Interface with other departments in the execution of duties to ensure the calibration due date schedule is maintained.
- Provide strong individual contributions in the context of achieving team goals.
- Recognize out‑of‑tolerance conditions and initiate corrective action and documentation.
- Assure accurate and timely input of data into the laboratory system.
- An Associate's Degree in Electronics or Electrical program or equivalent technical discipline from an accredited institution.
- Minimum two years' experience performing metrology and calibration measurements.
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, specifications, and calibration procedures.
- Demonstrated analytical skills, including the ability to identify sources of measurement error.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Highly motivated self‑starter with the ability to complete assignments accurately and on time.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience developing calibration procedures based on commercial and engineering data.
- Military PMEL – Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory / TMDE – Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment / DOD – U.S. Department of Defense training.
- Excellent vision, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and sit/stand for extended periods of time.
