Our client is in search of a full-time Estimator Engineer. This is a full-time, on-site position located within Milwaukee County.
- Manage Fabrication RFQ’s
- Print and prioritize based on compatibility
- Communicate with customers RE their RFQ’s
- Create RFQ’s to steel suppliers and outsourced services (generally machining) for customer quotes using BOM’s, drawings, and/or models
- Create drawings using 2D AutoCAD and 3D Models
- Assist in creating estimates by entering material pricing in ERP
- Purchase steel and outsourced services for winning bids
- Expedite orders
- Create drawings using 2D AutoCAD and 3 models for steel purchasing, machining, and fabrication
- Begin to create routings for new fabrication jobs and put together electronic job folder materials (JB2 is their ERP, will train)
- Learn to estimate fabrication jobs including setup, welding, machining, etc.
- All duties as necessary. This is a developing position with plenty of room for advancement
- Bachelor’s in engineering (preferably mechanical design)
- 2+ years with AutoCAD and 2+ years with 3D CAD (Solidworks, Inventor or similar)
- 1+ yr purchasing of steel components
