Join our Oak Creek, WI team as a Process Engineering Co-Op! Our co-ops are hands on, highly technical, and designed to let you see what it's like to work s is a paid undergraduate co-op opportunity. As an engineering co-op, you will work closely with our engineering staff on actual customer projects. Mentors are assigned to assist co-ops in achieving engineering related career development that is of mutual benefit to you and Astronautics.
In addition to process engineering, we have open opportunities in data security, mechanical, PLD, quality, software and systems engineering this summer. Mentors are assigned to assist interns in achieving engineering related career development that is of mutual benefit to you and Astronautics. Our internship program includes events and opportunities to meet other interns and employees across the organization.
Co-op opportunities are available for Spring and Fall 2026. This is a first shift, full-time position (M-F). You must be able to commit to three co-op terms, which may be completed intermittently.
Position Responsibilities:- Work with process engineers on projects within the production environment.
- Create and update work instructions using MS Word and Solid Works.
- Design tooling for ease of manufacturing our products.
Skills:
- Strong communication, analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Capability of working independently with limited oversight from senior engineers
Required Qualifications
- Current accredited college or university enrollment with sophomore, junior or senior standing; making progress towards an undergraduate degree in Aerospace, Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Mechanics
- Minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Solid Works
- Able to work full-time onsite
- Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
- Cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above
- Experience in electronics assembly or a manufacturing environment
