We are seeking a highly driven Sr. Project Engineer with at least three years of experience to help lead product and manufacturing growth at Keder Solutions®, Rite Choice ® Ducting, and GEI Works.
This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer looking to expand their technical experience in design, manufacturing, and operations. You will actively support multiple projects with a high level of variety and play a key role in the deployment of new engineering and manufacturing processes and systems.
KeyDuties and Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership for multiple low to medium-complexity new product development and manufacturing projects.
- Develop and drive schedules with inputs from engineering, operations, and suppliers.
- Develop and design custom in-house equipment solutions to support new products and manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with equipment suppliers to deliver integrated, comprehensive machine and manufacturing line solutions to support new products and operations growth.
- Communicate effectively and timely with cross-functional team members and senior leadership on projects and initiatives.
- Assist in operations planning including factory layout, logistics optimization, and process documentation.
- Integrate AI into process improvement and manufacturing solutions.
- Investigate, develop, and deliver custom processes and software solutions to support engineering and operations growth.
- Frame up technical tradeoffs to cross-functional teams and leadership, including providing multiple options for moving forward.
- Drive continuous improvement projects focused on manufacturing and operations efficiency and optimization.
Experience:
- Minimum of three years of engineering experience in a related field.
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering.
- Ability to independently drive projects with ambiguous paths and deliver results on time and within budget.
- Effectively collaborate with engineering, operations, sales, and outside suppliers as needed.
- Willingness and ability to independently investigate and learn new topics related to engineering and manufacturing.
- Understanding of a variety of manufacturing processes and related critical parameters.
- Experience designing simple assemblies with electro-mechanical experience preferred.
- Excellent problem identification and resolution skills.
- Experience with 3D CAD;
Solidworks experience preferred. - Automation and machine design experience preferred.
