Extension is seeking an IT Help Desk Technician for a direct hire opportunity with one of our clients located in Oak Creek, WI.

Key Objectives / Role Responsibilities

  • IT Support by diagnosing and resolving technical problems related to computer hardware, software, network connectivity, and applications.
  • Answer incoming calls, emails, and chat requests from users regarding technical issues.
  • Log and manage customer support tickets within a ticketing system, updating status and providing timely resolutions.
  • Provide technical assistance remotely using remote desktop tools to troubleshoot issues on user devices.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware such as peripherals, printers, phones and network devices.
  • Install, update, and troubleshoot software applications.
  • Contribute to and maintain a knowledge base with troubleshooting guides and solutions for common issues.
  • Identify complex issues that require further assistance and escalate them to higher-level support teams.
  • Provide basic technical training to users on common software and hardware functions.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a help desk technician or in other customer support role.
  • Strong understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, network protocols, mobile devices, and common software applications.
  • Ability to analyze technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Clear and concise communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Ability to provide friendly and professional support to customers, even in stressful situations.
  • Accurate documentation of customer interactions and technical issues

Salary Information

  • $27-$29/hour
