Position Title: Wave Coating Machine Operator

Wage: $19.50/hour

Shift: 2nd

Hours: 02:30 pm - 11:00 pm

QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Wave Coating Machine Operator at a company in Oak Creek, WI. This is a potential to hire position for 2nd shift. Apply now!

Wave Coating Machine Operator Responsibilities
  • Set-up, operate, and shutdown wave solder machine and related equipment (Q-cutter, aqueous cleaner, containment tester, spray fluxer).
  • Perform daily and routine maintenance on wave solder machine and related equipment (Q-cutter, solder fountain, aqueous cleaner, spray fluxer).
  • Knowledge of proper handling and disposal of related materials.
  • Knowledge of proper mixing of related solutions (flux and thinner).
  • Inspect, repair and rework coated boards as needed by customers.
  • Keep work cell clean at all times.
  • Communicate supply chain, manufacturing and engineering problems to the Team Captain.
  • Identify resistor color bands and wire colors (black, brown, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet, grey, white, silver and gold).
  • Properly fill out production documentation.
  • Push, pull, lift and carry assembly parts from floor height to shoulder height 40 lbs.
  • Use of statistical process control techniques.
  • Keep thru put data.
  • Overall area clean up.
  • Push, pull, lift and carry assembly parts from floor height to shoulder height 60 lbs.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Work Cell Captain.
Requirements
  • High school education.
  • Bright, action oriented, and a self‑starter.
  • Knowledge of electronic components.
  • Ability to read and understand electronic assembly documentation and drawings.
  • Must be mechanically inclined.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
