Job Overview

Electronics Assembler (2nd Shift) – Oak Creek, WI

Work hours:

3:00 PM – 11:30 PM. 2nd shift position includes a shift premium. Training for all shifts will be held on 1st shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM). This position is located at our headquarters in Oak Creek, WI and reports directly to the Manager of Electronic Assembly and Support.

What You Will Do

In this role you will be responsible for mechanical assembly, circuit card assembly, and repair tasks including mechanical assembly, subassembly, circuit board soldering, harnessing, and solder termination, all performed in accordance with assembly process procedures and engineering drawings.

How You Will Do It
  • Perform electrical and/or mechanical assembly—assemble small components.
  • Use small electrical hand tools and a soldering iron.
  • Hand‑solder components onto circuit cards.
  • Perform wire harnessing.
  • Utilize calipers, torque drivers, torque wrenches, and other hand tools to perform assembly or disassembly of assemblies or sub‑assemblies.
  • Utilize the arbor press, drill press, and other equipment for assembly and finishing work.
  • Follow shop orders, engineering drawings, or production work instructions.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum two years of soldering experience.
  • Must have fine manual dexterity skills.
  • Able to follow standard written work instructions and comprehend electronic and mechanical drawings and schematics.
  • Must successfully pass the Astronautics solder training program.
  • Must pass an English comprehension test (required for FAA Repair Station compliance).
  • Must be a U.S. person as defined under U.S. export regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • IPC‑610 solder certification.
  • Avionics manufacturing experience.
  • Experience operating SMT, Selective/Wave Solder, or conformal coating equipment.
