Electronics Spray Painter - Oak Creek, WI Overview
We are looking for an experienced Electronics Spray Painter to join our production team at Astronautics Corporation of America in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. The role involves preparing, mixing, painting, assembling, and finishing a variety of instruments and assemblies, including touch‑up work on customer products returned for repair. The position is full‑time, on‑site, and reports directly to the Manufacturing Supervisor.
What You Will Do- Paint and finish parts and final assemblies using spray gun, airbrush, and paint booth.
- Clean, mask, and prep parts before coating.
- Mix various types of paint per specification with a paint mixer.
- Use calipers, torque drivers, torque wrenches, and other hand tools for assemble/disassemble of assemblies or sub‑assemblies.
- Operate arbor press, drill press, and other equipment for assembly and finishing work.
- Follow shop orders, engineering drawings, or production work instructions.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Must be a U.S. person as defined under U.S. export regulations.
- Fine manual dexterity skills.
- Ability to follow written work instructions and interpret electronic and mechanical drawings and schematics.
- Ability to pass an English comprehension test (to meet FAA Repair Station requirements).
- Comfortable using a computer; familiar with MS Word and Excel.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift items up to 35 pounds.
- One year of experience prepping, painting, and finishing in a spray booth.
- One year of experience working in a manufacturing environment using hand tools and equipment.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
