Zenar, a privately owned third‑generation company and recipient of the Top Workplace award, is seeking a Mechanical Assembler/Brake Specialist to assemble custom brakes for custom overhead cranes.

• Responsible for all custom brake assemblies.
• Assemble various heavy machinery and fabricated metal products.
• Read blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation to build to specification.
• Use various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Check products to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolve any identified problems.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Relevant experience with heavy machinery assembly or an auto‑mechanic background.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
• Previous experience operating hand tools.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Detail‑oriented with consistent workmanship.
• Understanding of safety rules and guidelines, including operating heavy equipment safely.
• Superior skill in operating assigned equipment safely and efficiently.
• Team‑player who works well as a productive member of a team.
• Basic ability in mathematics, reading, or writing.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

• Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.
• Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds on a regular basis.
• Manual dexterity to assemble products or machines, including bending, climbing, stooping, and reaching.
• Excellent hand‑eye coordination.
• Wears safety glasses, face shield, gloves, and ear protection as required.
