What You Will Do:

We are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Supervisor with primary responsibility for 2nd Shift Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) production. In this role, you will lead and coordinate the day-to-day activities of operators and technicians involved in the assembly, testing, inspection, and processing of printed circuit board assemblies, while also supporting electronic box build and related manufacturing activities as needed.

This is a working supervisor position. The Manufacturing Supervisor is expected to actively support production and perform manufacturing operations when needed. Direct production work is secondary to the position's supervisory responsibilities, which include employee direction, production prioritization, safety, quality, schedule attainment, training, and management of production flow.

The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for coordinating labor and production priorities to meet manufacturing requirements while maintaining appropriate levels of quality, productivity, and work-in-process (WIP). The supervisor will identify and address production constraints, coordinate the resolution of issues affecting output, and ensure employees are properly trained and follow established manufacturing processes and work instructions.

This is a 2nd shift position (3:00 PM-11:30 PM). Training for all shifts will be conducted on 1st shift (7:00 AM-3:30 PM). This position is located at our headquarters in Oak Creek, WI, and reports directly to the Senior Manager, Electronic Assembly and Support.

How You Will Do It:

  • Schedule, prioritize, and manage the flow of material through CCA and finishing processes to maximize efficiency and achieve required production schedules.
  • Monitor WIP throughout assigned production areas and proactively address bottlenecks, excessive WIP, capacity constraints, and production flow issues.
  • Monitor daily production performance and schedule attainment, adjusting labor and priorities as necessary to meet production requirements.
  • Assign and reallocate personnel based on production priorities, process constraints, employee qualifications, and workload.
  • Maintain a hand-on presence on the production floor and perform production operations as needed after supervisory, personnel, quality, and production-management responsibilities have been addressed.
  • Work closely with Planning, Materials, Quality, Engineering, and other manufacturing departments to identify and quickly resolve issues impacting production.
  • Monitor quality performance and ensure corrective actions are taken when quality requirements or manufacturing standards are not being met.
  • Ensure employees follow applicable work instructions, manufacturing procedures, quality requirements, ESD requirements, and safety practices.
  • Define, coordinate, and maintain appropriate training and cross-training to ensure adequate staffing depth and flexibility across CCA processes.
  • Provide employees with day-to-day direction, coaching, and constructive performance feedback.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, cycle time, WIP, process flow, and overall manufacturing efficiency.
  • Participate in and support continuous improvement activities and implementation of improved manufacturing practices.
  • Maintain appropriate housekeeping, organization, safety, and 5S standards throughout assigned production areas.
  • Escalate significant material, equipment, quality, staffing, or process issues when additional support is required.
Performance & Accountability:

The Manufacturing Supervisor is accountable for the overall performance of the assigned CCA production area, with primary responsibility for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Productivity, People, and Continuous Improvement.

  • Safety:
