Position Summary

Press Operator Apprentice to join our manufacturing team. Thisapprenticeshipprovides hands-on training under the guidance of experienced press operators todevelop the skills needed to safely setup, operate, monitor, and maintain production presses. The ideal candidate is eagerto learn, follows safety procedures, andis committed to producing high-quality work.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Learn to safely operate and monitor production press equipment.
  • Assist with machine setup, tooling changes, and production changeovers.
  • Inspect parts toensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Read and interpret work orders, production schedules, and basic blueprints.
  • Perform routine machine cleaning, lubrication,and preventive maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report major problems to supervisors.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records.
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors, maintenance personnel, and team members.
  • Participate in classroom and on-the-job apprenticeship training as required.
  • Continuously developtechnical skills and knowledge of manufacturing processes.
Qualifications
  • High school diplomaor GED required.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to readbasic measurements using rulers, calipers, orgauges (or willingness to learn).
  • Strong attention todetail and commitment to quality.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable attendance and positive workethic.
  • Previous manufacturing experience is helpful butnot required.
Physical Requirements
  • Abilityto stand andwalk for extended periods.
  • Frequently lift, carry, push, or pullup to 50pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout the workday.
  • Ability to workin a manufacturing environment with noise, moving machinery, and varying temperatures.
  • Must be ableto wear required personal protective equipment(PPE).
Work Schedule
  • Full-time
  • Overtime and shiftwork may be required basedon production needs.
