A bit about us:A growing heavy machining and OEM manufacturing company is looking to add an experienced CNC Horizontal Boring Bar Operator to its machining team. This is an opportunity to join a stable shop environment focused on large-part precision machining, custom OEM work, and complex job shop manufacturing.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience operating CNC horizontal boring mills within a heavy industrial machining environment and be comfortable working with large components, tight tolerances, and job shop environment.

- Operate CNC horizontal boring bar machines on large OEM and job shop components
- Perform setups, tooling changes, offsets, and machine adjustments
- Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and machining specifications
- Machine large fabricated and cast components to tight tolerances
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment
- Work closely with programming, engineering, and quality teams
- Maintain safe and organized work areas
- Previous experience operating CNC horizontal boring mills
- Background within heavy machining, large-part machining, or OEM manufacturing
- Ability to read blueprints and perform own inspections
- Experience with tight tolerance machining
- Strong understanding of feeds, speeds, tooling, and setups
- Stable work history preferred
- Large-part machining
- Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain, or similar controls
- Crane or rigging experience
- Job shop manufacturing environment
