Shift: Shift 3, , ED Float between the 4 Froedtert Neighborhood Hospitals (Mequon, New Berlin, Oak Creek & Pewaukee).
Performs primary nursing functions of assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care in the emergency department to patients of all ages suffering from various types of illness or trauma. The RN serves as a professional role model by collaborating with clinical and front office staff, administration and other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care is delivered to optimal patient outcomes.
Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital inpatient/telemetry unit or equivalent experience.
- Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice acquired through completion of a minimum of two years education at an accredited School of Nursing, required for RN licensure.
- Current Wisconsin RN License or multi‑state nursing license under the NLC.
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) or approved equivalent within 30 days of hire.
- AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within one year of hire.
- Trauma Nurse Certification (TNCC) preferred.
