Occupational Health & Safety, Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Seeking a safety professional to support workplace health and safety initiatives by delivering employee training, maintaining OSHA compliance, and managing safety documentation and audits in a food manufacturing environment. The role partners closely with operations to reduce workplace incidents, support workers' compensation and return-to-work programs, and promote a strong safety culture across the facility. Responsibilities also include leading safety committee meetings, conducting hazard assessments, performing safety audits, managing emergency response activities, and translating safety materials between English and Spanish.
This is a full-time, first-shift position requiring occasional overtime, travel within the U.S. and Canada, and regular interaction with plant operations.
- Conduct employee safety training, maintain OSHA compliance records, and manage safety documentation and audits.
- Lead hazard assessments, safety inspections, LOTO, PPE, machine guarding, and emergency preparedness programs.
- Support workers' compensation, return-to-work programs, safety committee meetings, and translate documents in English and Spanish.
- High school diploma required;
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Studies, or Occupational Health & Safety preferred. - Minimum 2 years of safety-related experience (3+ years preferred), with manufacturing, conveyor safety, or machine guarding experience considered a plus.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish with strong communication, presentation, organizational, Microsoft Office, and leadership skills; GSP, ASP, or CRSP certification preferred.
